PRINCE2® Agile Practitioner Course

PRINCE2® is widely used as a project management approach across the globe, and it is also increasingly being used in conjunction with Agile practices. This course, delivered by Glass Rock Solutions, provides specific guidance on how to use PRINCE2® in the context of Agile.

Overview

The strength of PRINCE2 lies in areas of project direction and project management, while Agile has a very strong focus on product delivery. Combining PRINCE2 and Agile delivers an integrated and seamless approach to managing and delivering modern projects.

This course focuses on how to use both models together. It is a prerequisite that students considering this course are currently certified in PRINCE2 Foundation or PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, and secondly that they have a basic understanding of what Agile is.

The course includes a copy of the official PRINCE2 Agile publication, which is permitted for use in the exam.

Examination

By completing this course, students will have sufficient knowledge to sit the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner Examination. The exam is held on day four of the course.

The PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner Examination is a 2.5 hour scenario-based objective testing multiple choice exam consisting of 50 questions worth 1 mark each. It requires a pass mark of 30 out of 50. It is an open book exam.

  • Understand the purpose and context for combining PRINCE2 and Agile
  • Understand which areas are of particular significance and focus when using Agile and PRINCE2
  • Incorporate the fundamental Agile behaviours, concepts and techniques in PRINCE2
  • Be able to fix and flex the six aspects of a project in an Agile context
  • Apply or tailor the seven PRINCE2 principles, themes and processes for an Agile project
  • Produce the PRINCE2 management products for an Agile project
  • Map the common Agile roles to a PRINCE2 project management team
  • Be prepared for the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam
