ITIL 4 Certification Path

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is defined as a framework with a set of best practices for delivering efficient IT support services. The benefits of a candidate moving to ITIL 4 are:

  • Demonstrates that a candidate has the knowledge to navigate the modern digital landscape
  • Shows that a candidate’s certification/skills are up to date
  • All students commence their ITIL certification journey with the ITIL 4 Foundation certification

At Glass Rock Solutions, we devise and deliver training solutions to corporate, government agencies, public sectors, multinational organisations and private individuals. We offer both in-house and online training.

Please note: Students who are new to ITIL will take the ITIL 4 Foundation course. This is a three-day course and there are no prerequisites.

Students with existing ITIL v3 Foundation certification can Upgrade to the ITIL 4 Foundation course in just two days.

To obtain the ITIL Managing Professional (ITIL MP) designation or ITIL Strategic Leader (ITIL SL) designation, the candidate must complete all modules in the relevant stream, with Direct, Plan and Improve (DPI) being a universal module for both streams.

If both are successfully attained, the candidate will be eligible for assessment to become an ITIL Master.

The ITIL 4 Certification Scheme comprises the following modules:

  • ITIL Foundation
  • ITIL Specialist, with three modules:
    • Create, Deliver and Support (CDS)
    • Drive Stakeholder Value (DSV)
    • High Velocity IT (HVIT)
  • ITIL Strategist, with one module:
    • Direct, Plan and Improve (DPI)
  • ITIL Leader, with one module:
    • Digital and IT Strategy
  • ITIL Master

 

There is only one bridge offered for ITIL v3 certified candidates. This is only for existing ITIL Experts or anyone with at least 17 credits in the existing ITIL v3 certification scheme. The Transition Module leads to the ITIL Managing Professional designation.
