Building Resilience

Business meeting in modern conference room

Duration 1 – 2 day(s)

Overview

Resilience is fundamental to coping with change and challenges; it is generally defined as the ability to ‘bounce back’ from undesirable situations and circumstances.

People who are resilient have good coping mechanisms and are more tolerant to the various stresses than can occur in the workplace.

The good news is that resilience is a skill which can be learnt and developed, and like any skill, the more we practise it, the better we become.

This course is designed to give participants practical tools and strategies to implement on a daily basis to allow them to build resilience, particularly when they are feeling anxious or stressed.

The course explores some aspects of neuroscience, enabling participants to learn to recognise their decision making, attitudes and feelings about various situations as a result of chemical releases in the brain. It also teaches them how to re-frame and refresh their thinking to move forward positively and restore a sense of control.
