This course is available as a course combination.

P3O stands for Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices. A P3O model provides support for programs and projects of all types that aim to bring about change within an organisation.

The P3O Guidance brings together a set of principles, processes and techniques to facilitate effective delivery of portfolio, program and project management and this training is recommended for anyone who is involved in project management.

At Glass Rock Solutions, we devise and deliver training solutions to corporate, government agencies, public sectors, multinational organisations and private individuals. We offer both in-house and online training.

Key Topics:

  • The Business Case for a P3O
  • Re-Energise or Implement a P3O
  • P3O Models
  • Impact of maturity on P3O implementation

The course includes a 60 minute, Multiple Choice Question Assessment held on day three. There are 75 questions, of which 70 are live and five are trial. Students must achieve 35 marks (50%) to pass and attain P3O Foundation Certification.

Learning Objectives

To prepare candidates with sufficient knowledge and understanding to work as an informed member of a Portfolio, Programme and Project Office. The P3O Guidance provides a set of dynamic and value adding models that help make available support for portfolio, program and project management. A P3O environment can:

  • be temporary or permanent
  • be physical or virtual
  • can include centralised or de-centralised Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices

Organisations can make use of the P3O Maturity Assessment tool to determine the manner in which P3O services are currently delivered across the organisation and how they might need to be calibrated, to target specific improvements in portfolio, program and project management implementation.
