Event Management Training - In Person and Online Event Management

Excited diverse team people celebrating success

Duration: Half a day – 2 days

Overview

The number and type of events conducted in Australia has grown exponentially over the past decade.

This growth has resulted from governments seeking to leverage events for economic purposes, along with an expanded recognition of the role events play in areas such as marketing communications, information sharing, organisational learning and community development.

As the number of events has grown, so too has the need for trained professionals capable of planning and delivering events of various types, including conferences, product launches, exhibitions, sporting events, parades and networking and social events. These programs contribute to meeting this need by providing key skills and knowledge in event project management,

Since COVID-19, there are additional layers of consideration to take on board when an organisation thinks about running events.

Apart from safety considerations, having customer tracking procedures in place, creativity and innovation are key to creating memorable online events in the current pandemic environment.

Irrespective of whether events are conducted ‘in person’ or virtually, the critical foundational components of event management remain the same: to ensure that the event runs smoothly and that all participants feel they have gained value from their attendance.

This course, delivered by Glass Rock Solutions, focuses on the practicalities of event management, including:

  • understanding the new COVID-19 rules and regulations for social interaction
  • planning at both a strategic and detailed level
  • promotion, sales and marketing; collaboration and managing people
  • innovative problem solving
  • seeking feedback
  • creating budgets and measuring return-on-investment.
