Building Trust for Better Working Relationships

Group of architects working at office

Duration 1-2 day(s)

Overview

Colleagues who trust each other not only forge stronger relationships with each other – they are more likely to be open, honest, empathetic, collaborative and constructive – which results in higher levels of innovation and productivity, while they are happier at work, benefitting the overall team.

There are two basic types of trust, the first is practical – which is engendered when someone is a ‘good worker’, that is, they meet their work commitments, show up on time and are dependable.

The second, which is harder to define, is ‘emotional trust’, when people are secure in their knowledge that they will be treated with kindness and respect, even when they make mistakes.

The second is more complex, and it relies on Emotional Intelligence (EQ).

For leadership teams and teams alike, to reach peak performance, they need both types of trust.

In this workshop, we explore individual personality types and working styles, diversity and team dynamics, so that teams better understand each other and can begin to forge trusted bonds.
